          April 17, 2006 General Meeting Minutes

    The VMICC meeting was called to order on Monday, April 17,2006 by President Jim English at 7:30pm.  in the courtroom of Courthouse Square, Vashon Island. Clerk Mark Meyers, Board Members:  Marilyn Omey, May Gerstle, Jack Barbash, Jennie Hodgson  and Robin Hess were present, along with visitors and council members.

* The VMICC minutes for March 20, 2006 were approved.
* The agenda for April 17, 2006 VMICC  meeting were approved.
* Treasurer’s Report : None Given
  

* Floor Announcements:
~  Confirmation of candidate, Jennie Hodgson  to the VMICC Board.
~ Special Guests ; Capt. D.J. Nesel, King County Sheriff’s Office 
                              Gay Johnson, King County Fire Marshall

~ Attending committee representatives provided reports.

* Motions:
~ No motions were made or voted on, at the April 17, 2006 meeting.

* Presentations:
~  “ State of Our Island Environment” presented by, Jack Barbash and VMICC
       Sustainable Practices Committee ( SPC )
