Minutes 7/1/05
 
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chair Melvin Mackey at 7 pm in the McMurray school library.  Chair Robin Hess joined the meeting later. Also present were member Jay Becker and Board liaison Marilyn Omey.  Member Ray Mielbrecht was unable to attend.
The committee reviewed its draft amendments so far as prepared by Melvin and made a few minor changes.  There are eight proposed amendments which will be presented in one combined form at the July 18th general meeting.
 
Our next meeting is Wednesday July 13th  at the McMurrary library, 7 to 9 pm as usual. Melvin will chair the meeting in Robin's absence. 
We will finalize our amendments to be ready for five signatures and submission at the July 18th general meeting.
Planning ahead, we agreed to have a meeting on Friday, September 16th in order to finalize our report for the September 19th general meeting. We will schedule other meetings over the summer as needed to prepare pro/con arguments and recommendations.
