GOVERNANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE – VMICC
Minutes August 31, 2005


Meeting was held at 7 pm in the McMurray school library. Present were Melvin Macky, acting as Chair, Jay Becker,Ray Mielbrecht and Marilyn Omey, Board liaison. Chair Robin Hess is away.

 

Minutes from the July 22 meeting which had previously circulated by e-mail were approved.  There were no minutes from the Aug. llth and Aug. 18th meetings as there were no quorums to conduct business.  These times were used as work sessions on the amendments report for the Sept. general meeting.

 

The Committee completed work on its report except for a decision as to the recommendation on the property rights committee amendment.  This was decided to wait until Robin returns for the next meeting.  Melvin will present the Committee report as it stands thus far to the Board meeting on Sept 8th.  The next meeting of the G&P Committee will be Friday, Sept. 16th at 7 pm in the McMurray library.
