Minutes of May 12th meeting approved with one small correction PRESENTATIONS/DISCUSSION Report on Y2K and WSF -- Gardner Perry Two handouts provided on statements from the Ferry System --some of their fleet is Y2K compliant and some is not but expected to be ready in time WSF has Y2K site on their web page -- difficult to find Update on Medical Supplies, etc. for disasters -- Nancy Douglas VEPC has raised $319 via a car wash Working on 501c3 status -- Also seeking recognition & support from VMICC Gardner suggested Nancy talk to other Island organizations about money need Report from Y2K sub-committee -- Mark Musik, etal Showing film -- low level of activity Update on disaster training, etc. -- Rick Frye Continues actively on community preparedness Looked at Gig Harbor plan -- they have worked on it for many years Networking around the Sound may get more active in the fall Motion to authorize publicity of hunting regulations, etc. -- Gardner Perry Motion to VMICC approved PSE emergency plan -- looks great for known (predictable) events -- not so good for unexpected events at night or on weekends -- report on special meeting with PSE.
