Vashon - Maury Island Community Council 
         August 21, 2006 General Meeting Minutes

    The VMICC meeting was called to order on Monday, August 21, 2006 by President Jim English at 7:30pm.  in the courtroom of Courthouse Square, Vashon Island. Clerk; Mark Meyers, Treasurer; Jolene Lamb, Board Members; Jean Bosch , Marilyn Omey, Robin Hess, Jennie Hodgson were present, along with visitors and council members.

* The VMICC minutes for July, 2006 were approved.
* The agenda for August, 2006 VMICC  meeting were approved.
* Treasurer’s Report :  Presented by Jolene Lamb
  ~  2006 Budget          $10,000.00
  ~  Actual 08-21-06     $ 3,431.25
  ~  Unspent 08-21-06  $ 6,568.75

* Floor Announcements:
   ~ Mr. Jim English - Comprehensive plan meeting will be September 18, 2006 at 7PM
   ~ Hillary Emmer- Has forms available for public health coverage.


*Committee Reports:
~ Attending committee representatives provided reports.

* Motions:
~ Motions was made to approve the four new members of the VMICC nominating committee. These four candidates are: Mr. Jay Becker, Mr. Roger Fulton, Mr. Roger Mackey, and Mr. David Foege. All four candidates were Approved.

* Presentations:
 ~ Vashon-Maury Island Public Utility District Initiative: Presented by Meg Gluckman and Deidre Grace.

* New Business:
~ Governance and Policy Committee presented a motion for consideration. 
   
* Meeting Adjourned  9:00pm.
