Other Activities - Developing a responsible forestry practices education and outreach program; reviewing Manke Lumber forestry practices (which look very responsible to date); invasive plant removal; monitoring current clearing permits; learning about environmentally responsible forestry through visits to sustainable forestry operations in the region; interactions with other island communities and Washington State agencies regarding forest practices appropriate for Puget Sound islands.
